theme builder error
« on: December 31, 2009, 06:19:16 AM »
I'm new to the blackberry but am deeply eager to learn as much as I can. I downloaded Theme Studio 5.0 and watched a video. I created a zen type home screen and in worked fine. I tried again and this time all the homescreen icons were the same, what am I doing something wrong?

That was a bit vague, I'm sorry.

I placed a row of theme buttons on my home screen in composer and selected use device application order in the inspector, then moved that to themebuilder as an SVG.

1st attempt= the five theme buttons became 1st five apps from menu screen
2nd+ attempts= the five theme buttons all became the 1st app

Is there an easy fix? Did I inadvertently click an option that caused this?

thanks for the help

Solved: composer tends to export SVG files with no slot designations or incorrect designations. To fix this you need to open your SVG file with notepad and edit it so the slot designations match the button minus one. For example, if you have six buttons simalar to the original zen theme then the slots should be: slot0, slot1, slot2, slot3, slot4, slot5.

Hope this helps someone out.

The theme builder is called Blackberry Theme Studio.
Here's the link to download it directly from Blackberry's site:
